Default GM W-/G-Body vs. Ford Panther

These three large car platforms have advantages and disadvantages.

A traditional American car is a full-sizer, has a classic style, with an automatic transmission with 4 or less gears, with an engine displaying between 6 and 8 cylinders

IMO, here'* what a comparison between W-Body and Panther should look like:
Chevrolet Lumina, Chevrolet Impala, Oldsmobile Intrigue, Pontiac Grand Prix = Ford Crown Victoria
Buick Century, Regal = Mercury Grand Marquis
Chevrolet Monte Carlo = Ford Thunderbird*

*A Ford model not built on a Panther platform

The rear-wheel-drive body-on-frame B- and luxurious D-Body platforms evolved to the front-wheel-drive unibody W- and upscale G-Bodies.

Why no Chrysler LH or LX platform?

Unlike the W-Body or Panther, the Chrysler LH- and LX-built sedans have some sort of style found in many grand tourers, muscle and personal luxury coupes.

Any reason you left out the full size sedan that came with both luxury and power? The Bonneville is slightly longer than the W-body and came with some nice powertrain choices. Supercharged 3800 in the SSEi and Northstar V8 in the GXP. I have yet to ride in a car that is more comfortable for the long trip.

i think the w-body coupe is more comfortable than the bonnie, all depends on year and package. mostly if you are the one in the back, lol

I love my W-bodys they are the most comfortable riding and range from slow to fast. W-bodys are by far my favorite FWD car platform.

If we are comparing a crow vic, I would compare it to the B-Body of time past.

B-body is the best platform ever. Second best is Panther. No one, NO ONE, beats those two.
