please help! fuse in the # 10 location of the under hood electrical center blows intermittently. I get dtcs p0100 and p1657. I know p0100 is the maf circuit voltage signal and the p1657 is for the reverse lock out. I have disconnected harness connecters starting with o2 sensor down by trans etc. I cannot get the fuse to blow. replaced jet performance maf with stock maf and no change

shake the wiring harness, sometimes you have wires that only chafe to ground when the car is shaking. may have to look at the back of the fuse box, with the battery terminals disconnected, there are a bunch of bare wire/pins back there might be touching something

hi mike1995 thanks for responding the fuse is labeled engine sensors and is a 20 amp fuse. I do know that the 4 o2 sensors the skip shift, and the reverse lock out along with the maf are all part of the same circuit.

I can't even read that schematic its so small.
I'd say disconnect the o2 sensors and see if it still trips the fuse.

You are going to have to trace the harnesses to each O2 sensor circuit...trace the harness to the MAF....and trace the harness to the M/T......it'* possible there is a rub through condition.......
Problem is, this is an intermittent problem.....Is there a common factor when it does blow? Does it happen more when hot than on a cold engine? Does it happen during shifting or a skip shift situation? Does it happen over bumps? Does it happen when the car is only in motion or can it be still and still happen?

That schematic is a bit small, if you use Firefox'* browser you can hold ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel, or click +/- to change the size of the page, which makes the pic a bit bigger, it is a bit more legible then.

thanks to all who have responded, I tried disconnecting stuff from the circuit, starting with the rear most o2 sensor and did not get the fuse to blow. I also disconnected the other sensor in the circuit and nothing. took the car out for a drive (car had been sitting several hours, not hot but not cols like over night) about 10 miles or so, the fuse did not blow. the next morning pull out of the driveway and half way down my street (<200 ft.) the ses light comes on. stop to check it and the fuse popped. one thing I forgot to mention was I do have a skip shift eliminator on the car, could that be a possible source. I will try that today and trace the harness itself for any grounds. once again thanks to everyone.
